From Nydia S.:
"I did not paint my laundry room, but as I love to write, I wrote about Stephanie in my blog. I know this address is for submissions of pictures, etc, but though I didn't change the look of the world around me, the Lord has used Stephanie's story to renew my perspective, and change my heart on several important issues. The blog address is: www.justanordinarymom.blogspot.com It is the entry labeled "Weakness - Part 2." I hope it is of some encouragement to you all, especially Eric.
I can't Thank Stephanie and her family enough.
I have cancer and Stephaine has shown me the way to Live and I hope I can have the grace and class she had.
A Big Thank You to her family for sharing her with us all.

I think of Stephanie daily. I did not even know her. Just to live with that spirit daily is what I strive to do. I am thankful to know this story. I did not paint my laundry room pink as pink is not really. But we are remodling and the laundry room is becoming a pretty blue color and I will send pics when we are finished. I wanted to pass this link on... http://thelizlogelinfoundation.org/ if it could be of help to Eric.
With love and prayers, Heather

Why did you move the blog?
Posted by: Kristine | February 27, 2009 at 04:43 PM
Can we hear from Eric now? That would be nice. How is he doing?
Posted by: Kristine | February 27, 2009 at 04:44 PM
Dear Friends-
To answer the above questions:
1. The blog has not been moved...not sure as to this comment? We're still with the same blog provider (Typepad), and we're still utilizing the same website address. Perhaps you need to refresh your browser or clear your cookies? There have been some reports that people aren't able to open the blog anymore...that could be the cause.
2. Eric and the kids are doing good. Each day is a new day full of hope for the family. We're working with Eric to get him to create his final post for the blog. He has been very busy because he's in the process of transitioning back to work. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.
Thanks for all of your support-

I just wanted Eric & family to know that I too check the blog many times a week. I continue to pray for Stephanies family daily & think of you & her story, all the time.
My sister has adopted a baby from Africa & has decided to be a stay at home mom & quit her 6th grade teaching job. I found a pair of rubber cleaning gloves, they were bright tiger stripped on the cuffs by the elbow & were bright pink the rest of the glove. I sent them to her in a care package & told her these were in honor of Stephanie, she knew I followed her blog but she hadn't read it. Her 6th grade class in Kentucky was praying for Stephanie though.
Anyway, I told her that they should remind her, like Stephanie did for me, to enjoy the little things. Have FUN while shes cleaning her toilets & do it IN STYLE. She called me when she received them and LOVED them. She said she had been needing a new pair of the old tired yellow ones & kept forgetting to buy them. These silly cleaning gloves made her so excited. It was what they represented , that Stephanie taught us, that we'll never forget..., appreciate the small things. LOVE is in the details. I remember someone writing that, that was a Stephanie saying & I used it over Christmas..., she was absolutely right, slaving over the tiny things are what show people how much they mean to you. Spending an hour on the perfect bow for the smallest gift or cleaning toilets with your new gloves & a smile on your face! THANK YOU STEPHANIE!! You will ALWAYS be in our hearts! God Bless you all, Vickie Kruse Wieberg

Ihope to live my life the way Stephanie has hers. I would like to know more about this disease and what causes it ?
And where we can donate for research in Stephanie's name to find a cure!

Eric,
I can't tell you how touching your post on Shawndras blog was. You and your family continue to be in my prayers.

Eric,
As a very close friend of Shawndra's, it touched my heart that even in your time of grief, you extended your hand and heart to help show support to the Turner family. You and your family continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. I have a feeling Stephanie and Shawndra will become angel buddies in heaven :)
